Happy new year

Exit 2008,Enter 2009
Happy New Year!, I am glad we are now in the new year, which is full of hopes, opportunities and yea blessings of course not without challenges that’s life. Some of the New Year resolutions from the long list is grow spiritually and to have a health body, by doing exercises.

The past is gone, and we now have to plan to make the best of 2009. It is sad to hear that the xenophobic attacks have resumed. We have lost a brother this month and two others were injured. Events like these leave me wondering of government’s effort. Why was government only repatriating those who were willing?

I hear that some people returned. eh koma anthu sadamve mwambi woti ‘m’pheche peche mwa njobvu sadutsamo kawiri.’

It is disheartening to learn of the decreasing pass rates of JC and PSLC results, this to me is indeed an indicator that our education standards are dwindling.

On a final note, the wrangle between MBC /DBU and Development Communications Trust (DCT) is now getting worse. How can they forge a letter for their former employee against her will that she has rescind from DCT and is going back to MBC. How can they now say that DCT is misinforming the public that DBU no longer exist, how can they tell the community that they are government and has ownership over radio listening clubs? How can they slot in a 2 minutes news insert from one source instead of balancing the news.

One thing I know for sure is that there is nothing wrong DCT did, because we followed the right procedures in delinking with MBC wayback in 2002. W e are praying that the good Lord should make a way, where the enemy is blocking us.

I will try and give you updates on this and others.
